Global AI and blockchain technology company BLAD Group has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Renova Energia S.A., Brazil’s leading renewable energy company, to establish a strategic partnership. The signing ceremony took place on August 13 in São Paulo, Brazil.
Through this agreement, BLAD Group will secure stable electricity supply for its mega scale AI data center project in Brazil and further collaborate on the joint development of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar power.
Renova is a pioneer in Brazil’s renewable energy market, operating large scale power plants including the 1 GW Alto do Sertão III complex, and plays a central role in supplying power to the national grid. Leveraging this infrastructure, BLAD Group aims to strengthen operational stability for its data centers while expanding along the energy value chain as a producer.
BLAD Group is a global technology holding company founded by Scott Kim, who previously led AI unicorn Riiid to success. Headquartered in Irvine, California, the company pursues a philosophy of “solving real world problems with technology,” with operations spanning AI research and development, software, and data center infrastructure. In particular, BLAD is currently building a 100 percent green AI data center in partnership with the Paraguayan government, and with this agreement, it now expands into the Brazilian market.
